Meet the Staff
Dr. Bart Iaia
Dr. Bart Iaia is a 1992 graduate of Tufts University
School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school he
attended the University of Vermont and obtained his Bachelor of Science
in Animal Sciences. He has been practicing at emergency clinics
and general practice clinics in Maine and Washington. Dr. Bart (as
he commonly goes by) grew up in both New England and Florida. He moved
to Seattle in 1995, and fell in love with the climate and the beauty of
the Pacific Northwest.
“I have always admired Veterinary Medicine. It
truly is a profession that allows one to practice all aspects of
medicine.” His professional interests include dentistry, nutrition
and animal behavior. Dr. Iaia also has interests in complimentary
medicine and has completed courses in Lomilomi, an ancient Hawaiian
healing art. Lomilomi means to break up into smaller pieces.
True to way he was taught, he performs LomiLomi on the ground.
This healing art can be applied to the veterinary field and many pets
enjoy the touch, and relax quickly during the session. It may be
likened to Reiki or other type of healing work but allows an
experience and honor all of its own. Please visit
kalama.org for more information regarding LomiLomi.
Dr. Bart enjoys spending time with his wife Denise, their
daughter Brie, and their pets. Currently he has two dogs, one cat and a
fish. Hobbies include gardening, eating (and occasionally cooking) and
water skiing when the water is “just right.”

Dr. Ulrike Rudolf
Dr. Ulrike Rudolf has loved working
with animals since she was a little girl bringing home injured wildlife
to her mom. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary
Medicine in 2002. She treats dogs, cats, small mammals, and reptiles.
“Over my years
of experience of first being a veterinary technician and in the past 5
years a veterinarian I have come to realize the importance of
communication. The care of every patient does not involve a single
person but a group of people from the staff of the entire hospital to
the owner at home. I try to bring this thought into each appointment I
see. The better informed people are about their loved pets the better
care will be given overall. Treating others beings as I would like to be
treated is very much a daily goal of mine.”
Three years ago
Dr. Rudolf began using animal chiropractic as complementary therapy to
western medicine in certain cases with great results. She is now
certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in animal
chiropractic care.
In her spare
time Dr. Rudolf loves to hike with her husband, young son and two dogs.
Her cats, parrot and reptiles stay at home! She also loves to blow
glass, kayak, S.C.U.B.A. dive, and read.

Denise Iaia
Denise Iaia, PHR, completes our staff as Hospital Manager. Denise's
skills in Human Resources and Business Management have come in quite
handy.
"Working at Renton West has truly been exciting. I am very fortunate
to work with a great group of hard working and compassionate people. I
have come to understand the human animal bond, and am deeply touched by
the love people have for their pets. Nothing pleases me more than to
see a small puppy or kitty and the joy on the owner's face."
Denise is here to make sure your experience at Renton West is second to
none. And to make sure that Dr. Bart and the rest of the team take care
of you and your furry family member.
In Denise's spare time, she is the mother of a wonderful little
girl named Brie, and also a mother to two dogs, one cat and a fish. She
also is a wonderful wife to Dr. Bart.

Irene
Hello, my name is
Irene. I have been at Renton West for 9 years. I have a domestic short
hair cat named Cassie and a pomeranian named Rory. I adopted her last
year. I enjoy working with animals and it is a great accomplishment for
me to help them. Every day I get to help with different cases.
Aside from my work as a veterinary assistant, I love
doing things at home like dress making, home improvement, gardening, and
watching Anime during my free time. I have a ten year old daughter who
also loves animals. |

Cheryl The kids are
raised, the pets are gone, so I came to Renton West in April 2004 for my
animal fix. My job offers a variety that keeps it ever changing and
interesting; each patient has a unique situation. Also, there is always
something new to learn about veterinary medicine. Thanks for sharing
your furry kids with me! |

the great Northwest, has relocated from Florida as her family lives on
Lake Tapps. She has 30 years experience with human patients. Her
background includes hospital social work and marriage and family
counseling. Ms. Iaia (yes Dr. Bart's sister) is now dedicated to the
practice of veterinary care and recognizes the emotional bond between
human and animal companionship. She offers a new component to our
services in providing our clients with grief counseling. Her witty
nature brings a sense of humor to the office place.
